Put Mom on the cover of a fashion magazine

The Glam style turns her into a cover star: a huge serif masthead, a full-width photo and black, magenta and white cover-line bands. A few tricks make it look like the real thing:

  • Make “Mom” the masthead. Type “Mom” in the magazine title field and keep her first name for the pages inside.
  • Pick a portrait with her face in the top half. The cover lines run across the bottom of the photo.
  • Write cover lines like a fashion editor: “Style icon, superhero, legend”, “Breaking: Mom was right (again)”, “Exclusive: the family recipes, finally revealed”.
  • Keep them short. Three to six words per cover line look boldest in the bands.

What to write in a birthday letter to your mom

  1. Open with one small memory

The song she sang in the car, the note in your lunchbox, the night she sat up with you. A single true moment beats a list of compliments.

  2. Thank her for something specific

Not just “for everything”: for the lesson, the sacrifice or the habit you only understood when you grew up.

  3. Tell her what she passed on

Which of her sayings you catch yourself repeating, which recipe you now cook, what you do because she did.

  4. Write it as a family

Daughters, sons and partners can each add a sentence. The letter page holds about 150 words, and the back cover has room for six more messages.

Frequently asked questions

What should I write in a birthday letter to my mom?

Start with one specific memory, thank her for something particular (not just “everything”), tell her which of her lessons you still live by and finish with a wish for her year. Whether you are her daughter, son or partner, three short paragraphs are enough — the letter page holds about 150 words.

What questions can I ask my mom on her birthday?

Ask about her life, not only about yours: “What were you like at our age?”, “What did your own mom teach you?”, “Which recipe should we all learn from you?” and “What do you want this year to be about?” Her six best answers fill the interview page.

How do I put my mom on a fashion-magazine cover?

Choose the Glam style, type “Mom” as the magazine title, add a clear portrait with her face in the top half and write three short cover lines. Fill in her age and it appears on a round magenta sticker; the issue line is added for you.

Can the whole family make it together?

Yes. One person builds the magazine while everyone else sends their words: a reason each, a memory for the timeline, a wish for the back cover. Then send the family the private share link so they can check the preview before you print.

Is a birthday magazine a good birthday book or journal idea for Mom?

It is a keepsake she can read in one sitting: letter, memories, photos and wishes in eight pages. Print it as a folded booklet so it feels like a real magazine, and make a new issue every year to build her own collection.

Is it free, and how do I print it?

It is free. You can fill in and preview it without an account, then sign in with Google to download the PDF for A4 or US Letter. Print it at home or at a print shop as single pages or a folded booklet — we do not print or ship.
